Indian Space-Tech Startups Secure Major European Deals at Space Meetings Veneto 2026

VENICE, ITALY: India’s private space sector has marked a significant breakthrough on the global stage. Nine cutting-edge Indian space-tech startups, operating under a delegation led by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe), have successfully signed multiple strategic partnerships and commercial agreements at the high-profile Space Meetings Veneto 2026 conference in Venice.

The high-level trade mission also featured extensive bilateral engagements with the Italian Space Industry Study Group, aiming to pave the way for deep commercial, technological, and infrastructural cooperation between the two nations.

Key Deals and MoUs

While all nine participating companies engaged in business-to-business (B2B) networking, three prominent startups finalized major cross-border frameworks:

  • Astrobase Space Technologies: The Karnataka-based firm signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with European launch manager Impulso Space. The partnership focuses on streamlining customer launch access, sharing orbital network pipelines, and managing integrated missions across shared launch configurations.
  • Kepler Aerospace Ltd.: The enterprise secured a comprehensive framework agreement with Apogeo Space. This deal will expand worldwide Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS) capabilities and enhance satellite communications infrastructure between Europe and India, exploring joint developments across CubeSat configurations and orbital payloads.
  • VyomIC: Announced a targeted technological alliance geared entirely toward engineering next-generation, resilient satellite navigation technologies and critical space-based infrastructure components.

The Full Delegation

As the single-window nodal agency enabling private aerospace ventures in India, IN-SPACe sponsored and hosted a diverse group of firms at the India Space Pavilion, representing the vanguard of the country’s “NewSpace” sector:

  • Astrogate Labs
  • Astrobase Space Technologies
  • VyomIC
  • Suhora
  • Kepler Aerospace Ltd.
  • Hyspace Technologies
  • TakeMe2Space
  • Jarbits Pvt. Ltd.
  • Dhruva Space

Strategic Global Realignment

This international outreach directly implements the milestones laid down in the 2025–2029 India–Italy Joint Strategic Action Plan, which was originally framed during the G20 Summit in late 2024. The success of the reverse-delegation follows a prior tour of European aerospace leaders across major Indian tech hubs like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and New Delhi.

“India’s active footprint at Space Meetings Veneto clearly signals the mounting international trust in our domestic private space ecosystem,” stated Dr. P.K. Jain, Director of the Programme Management and Authorisation Directorate at IN-SPACe, who led the mission. “These signed pacts prove that our domestic startups are globally competitive, highly scalable, and fully ready to meet the infrastructure demands of the modern space economy.”
