India Australia Meeting at G20 Sideline

On Friday, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese met on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders’ Summit. The meeting held in Johannesburg of South Africa. Both leaders expressed satisfaction at the deepening and diversification of cooperation between India and Australia.
Both countries elevated their relationship five years back in 2020 to Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The meeting is particularly significant in the back drop of recent terror attack. Prime Minster of Auatralia offered his solidarity on terrorism with India and expressed his called to strengthen the global fight against terrorism.
In this meeting both leaders discussed on diverse sectors to strengthen bilateral cooperation such as political and strategic, defense and security, energy, trade and investment, critical minerals, technology, mobility, education and people-to-people linkages. Both Prime Ministers also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
